Chrome · version 1.1.0 early access
Support and limitations
How to export
- Open a conversation on ChatGPT in Chrome.
- After first installation, refresh any already-open ChatGPT tab.
- Wait until ChatGPT finishes responding.
- Use the SG7 export panel near the top-right and choose Word or visual PDF.
If export stops
- Keep the conversation open and avoid switching chats during export.
- Wait for every answer or image to finish generating.
- Retry after ChatGPT finishes loading the conversation.
- The exporter stops rather than silently saving a file when a message cannot load.
Known boundaries
- Supported browser: Google Chrome desktop.
- DOCX tested in Microsoft Word for Windows. Word Mac/Web, Google Docs, and LibreOffice remain unclaimed.
- PDF is a visual snapshot. Text may not be selectable, searchable, or accessible to screen readers.
- Attachments, interactive canvases, audio/video, and some equations/diagrams are not embedded.
- Maximum embedded images: 25; maximum 10 MiB each and 30 MiB total.
- ChatGPT interface changes may require an extension update.
